Enos R. Hiatt, 35, 1312 W. Main St., assistant chief of the auxiliary police here, died in Culver Union Hospital at 9:45 a.m. Thursday. He had been in ill health for the past three months. He was born March 18, 1914, in Winchester, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Rea Hiatt. He was married to Mary McClure May 18, 1946, in Muncie. An employee of H-C Industries in Crawfordsville, he was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 50. Survivors include the widow; his mother, who resides in Winchester; a son, Thomas, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Teresa Flick, Ladoga, Mrs. Wilma Johnson, Crawfordsville, Mrs. Carolyn Bockhart, Mundelein, Ill., and Mrs. Patricia Carnes of Hartford City; one sister; three brothers, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Powers Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
